When we shift in consciousness, we often experience the surprise effect. Being, seeing or hearing something so unexpected that we are utterly surprised. To me, that is always a good marker. Because being surprised is often a solid sign that the experience wasn't created by the conscious mind.
Most of my states of expanded awareness brought me experiences in non-physical realms. But I also had a number of experiences in the expanded state with the physical here-and-now realm. I will describe one here. It is a funny one, as much as it underscores how profound and powerful shifting consciousness is. We are not even scratching the surface of its power and potential.
Instant heat
It was in winter 2019 that my partner back then and I were staying in a house in the south of Europe. The house was fitted with a wood burner, but the main bedroom remained somewhat humid and cold. My partner always had to bring a hot water bottle to bed to get warm. Normally, my body heat as an addition to the hot water bottle would be more than sufficient, but this time, she couldn't warm up. She remained cold to the core of her bones, and I could even feel it.
I love to experiment with different things, and when there is a problem or something to fix, my intuition serves me well. So I told her to lie still and that I would do something that maybe would give her some warmth. She nodded and remained lying on her left side.
As I was lying behind her, I started to connect strongly with my awareness, my consciousness. It took me a little while to "bundle" it. The moment I felt a surge of connection in me, I gently shifted my consciousness into her body, as if my consciousness had some kind of energetic shape, and I moved it over the full length of my body forward, into her.
I had no clear plan beyond that. My intention was to warm her, but not to send warmth. I just felt the inspiration to bring my consciousness inside of her and had no idea what would happen next. The moment I noticed that I was inside of her body, I started to perceive her from within. I was curious to explore it. And then she yelled: "What are you doing?! I'm on fire!" Kicking off the duvet.
I was instantly back in my own body and realized the immense heat coming off her. I explained what I had done. "OK, thanks," she said, sweat on her forehead. "I'm good now, thanks. Let's get some sleep." It took me quite some time to catch any sleep. I was just too enthusiastic and energized about what had happened.
What's next?
Looking back, I'm still amazed. I didn't send warmth. I didn't visualize heat or intend a specific outcome. I simply followed an impulse to enter her body with my consciousness, to bring my awareness into her and be with her from the inside. The heat was a side effect, a byproduct of me shifting my awareness in a specific manner.
This heat experience was not the only mind-bending experience I had. I am confident to state the following: We normally use shifting consciousness for things like OBE, Astral Travel, Remote Viewing, hypnosis, sleep, daydreaming, etc. Very interesting and extremely useful features and experiences. But that is just the tip of the tip of the iceberg. The moment we master consciousness to a greater extent, we enter into new realms of possibilities. There are virtually no limits to what can be achieved. Modern technology becomes quite quickly superficial, boring and obsolete. "There is no spoon."
The gateway to tapping into new possibilities is focus and heightened awareness, controlling the mind, reduced level of physical attachments, reducing (or reshaping) the ego, and understanding how reality works.
For most people this process starts with exploring their own consciousness, clearing energies that no longer serve them; harmonizing body, mind and soul.
PS:
Best Guess estimates: The total global expenditure of R&D and Scientific Research is about 3.8 Trillion USD (3,800,000,000,000 USD), of which ~3,200,000 (0.0000079%) is spent on exploring and developing consciousness.
Imagine that we would spend just 1% of that amount on exploring and developing consciousness, the world at large would be a different realm of experience. Yet, this will only happen when we have grown sufficiently in our collective consciousness and we are wishing every other person, at minimum, what we wish for ourselves. One always dreams. :-)
