Our physical reality has a specific rhythm, which can be perceived as the flow of breathing: breathing in and breathing out. This translates to accumulation and dissipation, or attraction and release, to collect and to let go. We find it everywhere in nature. Birth, growth, death, decay, rebirth, regrowth, over and over, at scales we cannot perceive.
This rhythm is unavoidable. Trying to stop that rhythm is like forcing your body to only breathe in. Yes, we have lots of inflated egos in this world, but still they are bound to breathing out as much as any other.
Trying to hold on to something, or to accumulate indefinitely, creates tension. If you keep breathing in, you will feel it instantly. There is no space to breathe. If you keep buying more stuff, your house will quickly become too small, leaving you no space to live. When it comes to physical things, it becomes obvious quite quickly and unavoidable.
However, when it comes to our inner workings, we often hold on to tensions, thoughts, ideas, and beliefs we are unaware of. We accumulate more than we can handle without even noticing in the moment. It looks normal in our society: more experiences, more digital information or entertainment; a thinking mind that never releases and keeps going. The body keeps score anyway: muscle tension, restless nerves, mental mist, sleepless nights. And here is the gentle reminder: many of us are walking around holding an invisible inhale. We just forgot we are allowed to mentally breathe out and let go.
Sometimes the body reacts in ways that are unpleasant: disease, burnout, and so on. However, we do not have to let it come to that point. There are various ways that support the mental out breath. Sports, yoga, meditation, massage, and so on are beautiful ways to invite this. Astral projection (OBE) is another way to have that mental out-breath. It’s closely related to meditation, yet many find it more accessible because it feels more active rather than passive, a good fit for action-oriented Western minds.
That is why conscious OBE and astral projection, seem to fit us better than meditation and it can achieve similar effects to a large degree. It can potentially:
- Calm or even still the mind
- Create deep bodily relaxation
- Realize you are more than your physical body
- Reduced anxiety loops
- and so on.
When you are curious about using astral projection as a conscious release practice, I invite you to reach out. Just contact me for an open, free conversation. No pressure, just curiosity. Let’s explore what releasing in this way could mean for you.
